Pictures from Ljubljana/NORFACE (Photos: Helena Hurme)

It has taken me a whole week to get this far, i.e., putting pictures on my blog which I took last week at a meeting of a NORFACE-funded group in Ljubljana. Today, for instance, I first cleaned my flat and then wrote a review of an article, then - to my own surprise - made 16 PowerPoint slides for a talk which I'll give in SIX weeks from now!!! I'll put in both pictures of colleagues and pictures from the city which I managed to take despite the VERY tight program of the meeting. I walked 25 kilometers in four days, sat 15 hours on airports travelled alltogether 27 hours... No wonder I got a sore knee and had to visit a doctor who said that I had an inflammation in it. The reason was of course too much strain. I had only a pair of Gore-Tex boots with perhaps 5 cm heels, very comfy as such, but no schock absorbing soles. I more or less ran up to the castle in the morning to take pictures, and what is worse, I ran DOWN. Admittedly I am in a good shape - the excercise bike measurement lately showed that I have the average values of someone 20 years younger!!! But, but... that does not concern my poor bones. Now I have had to sit indoors for some days and took a taxi to and from work from Tuesday to Thursday. If I find the energy and time, I may comment more upon the single pictures but for now I put them in without comments and let them speak for themselves. I put them here in alphabetical order according to their name. This makes it easier for me to keep track of what I have put on the blog.- There will probably be more pictures later!

The pictures from Oxford and Berlin are in teh archives to the right under my picture (January and June 2007).
