This picture I took with through the airplane window at about 11000 meter with a telephoto lens (200 mm) with Nikon D100, so it corresponds to a 300 mm lens on an "ordinary" camera. I'll add a closeup where mountains are clearly visible as well as a picture of a ship from the same altitude.

I am a retired professor from a developmental psychology program at Åbo Akademi University. My research so far has mainly concerned the family, especially intergenerational relations. As a child I was Lena Pettersson (or Leena Pettersson in Finnish)and lived in Artsjö (Artjärvi), Rovaniemi and Lovisa (Loviisa). I studied at the University of Jyväskylä.

I't quite amazing that you can that good of a photo through an airplane window. I guess it helps to have a really great camera:)
Yes, isn't it! And without any tripod in a shaking plane. No wonder spying planes get so good pictures.
