This is the closest (i.e., through a bus window!) I came to the Raffles Hotel in Singapore during my two day stop over. A pity. I would have loved to share the experience with friends who have visited it...

I am a retired professor from a developmental psychology program at Åbo Akademi University. My research so far has mainly concerned the family, especially intergenerational relations. As a child I was Lena Pettersson (or Leena Pettersson in Finnish)and lived in Artsjö (Artjärvi), Rovaniemi and Lovisa (Loviisa). I studied at the University of Jyväskylä.
